Yoshiya Togami and Peter Hardy of Lexington Meeting led a workshop/discussion on loneliness at their meeting, and Religious Nurture and Education have asked them to lead a session for the Yearly meeting as a whole. They write:
Even before the current pandemic forced us to isolate and keep a distance from our Friends, many were suffering from loneliness. Loneliness has serious physical and mental health effects. In addition, we believe there is a loneliness arising when we feel separate from spirit, cf. the book of Job. This 2nd hour discussion will present loneliness from these aspects and ask Friends to reflect on how loneliness has affected them.
