Miami Quarterly Meeting
Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business
18th of 10th Month, 2020
Peter Hardy, Presiding Clerk
Cecilia Shore, Recording
How can we make the meeting a community in which each person is accepted and nurtured, and strangers are welcome? Seek to know one another in the things which are eternal, bear the burden of each other’s failings and pray for one another. As we enter with tender sympathy into the joys and sorrows of each other’s lives, ready to give help and to receive it, our meeting can be a channel for God’s love and forgiveness.
Faith and Practice of Britain Yearly Meeting, Query #18
Friends were invited to respond to the query from out of the silence.

Announcement of next meeting.
The meeting is scheduled for 2nd month 21st, 2021; we anticipate meeting online. Peter will contact Community Friends meeting to host and do the children’s program and Louisville Friends meeting to provide the adult program. The agenda will include appointment of officers. Peter is seeking nominations for the Clerkship, Recording Clerk, Treasurer, and Committee of Two. Meeting representatives will discuss these nominations and others over lunch at the February meeting. Friends approved these plans for the next meeting.
Bill Heilbron, OVYM statistician, noted that the statistical form is provided on the Yearly Meeting website. He noted that although membership numbers should be reported, attendance could be problematic to report. We recommended that Bill bring this matter to Executive Committee.
We closed with silent worship.
